National & Regional Accreditation is evaluation of the quality of higher education institutions and programs. It is a major way that students, families, employers and government officials know that an institution or program provides a quality education.
Students wishing to apply for grants and loans are required to attend a college, university, or program that is accredited. Employers seek candidates from accredited college, university, or program is accredited and also ask of the accreditation status before deciding to provide tuition assistance to current employees. In order to be eligible for federal grants and loans or other federal funds, the government requires that a college, university, or program be accredited. The authorities require accredited programs to allow students to sit for licensure examinations in various professional fields.
